WELLNESS

Neah-Kah-Nie School District is committed to provide physical and emotional wellness services for all students.  School counselors are available at each school.  A school nurse is available through the Tillamook County Health Department.  Our nutrition service provides healthy and appealing meals at affordable prices.  Students are encouraged to be active learners during recess and physical education classes.  A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are available for students.  An activities bus is available to transport high school and middle school students home after extra-curricular activities.  Neah-Kah-Nie School

Exemption from Immunization (formerly religious exemption)

Effective March 1, 2014, Governor Kitzhaber signed SB132 into law.  This law changes the process for parents or guardians who wish to claim a nonmedical (formerly religious) exemption to a vaccine that is required for school or childcare attendance.  Under this law, these parents or guardians will be required to receive education about the benefits and risks of vaccines from a healthcare practitioner or through an online module prior to claiming an exemption.

You may access the online nonmedical (formerly religious) exemption training module by clicking here.
