First Student would like to invite the public to the 2018 STUFF THE BUS campaign at the Tillamook Fred Meyer on July 10th, 11th, and 12th. The school bus company from Rockaway Beach is asking for donations of new (un-used) emergency preparedness items to benefit the children in the Neah-Kah-Nie School District.

The north half of Tillamook County is at a unique risk of isolation in the event of a tsunami, storm, or other natural disaster. If an emergency were to occur when school is in session, hundreds of children would likely be sheltered in place for indeterminate amount of time, requiring basic first aid and security items such as tarps, buckets, flashlights, and sanitary items.

The bus will be at Fred Meyer July 10-12 from NOON to 7PM to receive donations. A list of needed items can be found with First Student at the bus or with Fred Meyer. The public is encouraged to STUFF THE BUS with donated items to assist in stocking Neah-Kah-Nie schools with the needed supplies to ensure the safety of our children in the event of an emergency.
