Mandatory FBLA meeting Wednesday at lunch in Jackson’s room, we will be voting for officers.

The Cross Country team raced the 3 Course Challenge at Camp Rilea over the weekend. The girls varsity team had another strong performance with 3 ladies earning individual medals. Jordan White finished 8th overall and was 1st among all the Division 5 schools, with Karissa Hadermann placing 3rd and Dinah Schultz 5th in their division. Awesome job ladies!

For the boys, Ecca Fry and Brady Haylett reached personal goals running in their first meet of the season. Welcome to the team gentleman!

On Sunday,  Sept 30, CERT needs some student volunteers to play the part of victims for training. It would be from 12:30 to about 3 at the Alder Creek Farm. Please sign up with Esther or  in the office to get more information.

Interested in a career in the athletic industry or possibly participating in college athletics?  Sign up in the counselor’s office to attend GEAR UP’s Careers in Sports event coming up on Wednesday, October 3rd.  Priority given to juniors and seniors and space is limited so sign up today! You’ll also be treated to a Timbers game!

Students interested in taking the ACT on Saturday, October 27 should register online at actstudent.org. The registration deadline in Sept. 28.

Hey students – looking for an opportunity to volunteer?  There are 2 projects with the Garibaldi Fire department that involving painting and cleaning in early October.   This would be a great way to support our firefighters and give back to the community.

Any students interested in a career in emergency services?  The Garibaldi Fire Department will be holding an EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) course in November (3  weekends) which anyone 16 and over can participate in. This is the beginning level of Emergency Medical Services. Check your school email or contact Esther for more information about either of these opportunities.

Nehalem Swim Team is starting soon. Practice Monday and Thursdays from 4-5 pm. Stop by office for more information.
