Treasure Award nominating letters include the following:
I nominate Leo Lawyer simply because he is the glue that binds our school together. He always has an answer for every question. Leo exhibits strong leadership and gives me a feeling of confidence.
I love our school and the climate it has. I wouldn’t love my job quite as much if Leo was not our leader. There are many reasons I nominated Leo. He deserves the Treasure Award for his exceptional service.
Leo is a great leader for his students and staff. He is dedicated and professional. He listens to concerns from everyone, whether it’s from parents, students, staff or community members and then he takes action accordingly to address the issue.
He provides a safe, fun and wonderful atmosphere for students to learn and grow in. I believe each and every staff member at the middle school would agree that Leo is a fabulous principal and athletic director!
Levi is an unsung hero in our school district. What would we do without him? Levi exemplifies what we want in a Neah-Kah-Nie School District employee. He is an effective communicator who works to keep the over 1000+ devices in the district all running without a hiccup. When you call on him, he is there ready to figure out the problem. You may find him in a classroom, in an office, in a server closet, or maybe in the attic pulling wire. It doesn’t matter if it is your laptop, printer, copier, Chromebook, document camera, ActiveBoard, or you phone. We are so technologically driven that if one of our devices fails we cannot do our work. It doesn’t matter if you are an employee or a student. We all need our technology to accomplish what we need to do.
As technology changes he is constantly learning how to manage and support new devices and products, and the laws that govern our online presence. Add to all this his participation on the District Technology Committee, and the regional technology committee.
When you see Levi out and around the district please let him know how much you appreciate him. He is the one who makes sure that we can do our jobs.
Leo and Levi will receive a $25 gift certificate to Sea Breeze Gifts, Rockaway Beach. The Neah-Kah-Nie School District Employee Recognition Committee will present a Treasure Award plaque to Leo and Levi.
Staff, students, and community members are encouraged to nominate exceptional Neah-Kah-Nie School District employees to the school district’s Employee Recognition Committee. The committee then selects two Treasure Award recipients each trimester.
Attached to this letter is additional information on how to nominate an employee for a Treasure Award.
Congratulations Leo and Levi! You are true Neah-Kah-Nie School District TREASURES!
