8/25/2021 Letter to Staff and Parents

Wednesday, August 25, 2021

Dear Staff and Families of Neah-Kah-Nie High School,

Today, I was notified a staff member tested positive at Neah-Kah-Nie High School and has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  As members of the school community, we understand that this may raise concerns alongside a caring response. We are working closely with Tillamook County Health Department to respond to this news and protect the health of our community.

We continue to believe that protocols for social distancing, hand washing, one-way traffic, mask wearing, vaccination of students and staff, and contact tracing are proving extremely effective.

We appreciate your help by continuing to keep your students home when they don’t feel well during summer enrichment activities.  We must continue to move forward with caution as we strive to mitigate COVID 19 in our school district and community in order to keep our schools open.

The COVID 19 vaccine is available for anyone 12 years and older.  If you are interested in getting vaccinated, please contact your medical provider.

Sincerely,

Paul Erlebach, Superintendent

Neah-Kah-Nie School District
