Neah-Kah-Nie School Community,

January is designated as School Board Recognition Month in Oregon.  I would like to express my gratitude to the Neah-Kah-Nie Board of Directors for their community service as the voice of all NKN students.  NKN School District is extremely fortunate to have an experienced school board that understands the complexities of prioritizing quality education and safety during a pandemic.  A school board with common sense, a clarity of purpose, a collaborative mindset, and servant leadership.  A school board that does not guarantee success, but sets better conditions for success.

Please take the opportunity to acknowledge Sandy Tyrer, Board Chair; Carol Mahoney, Vice Chair; Michele Aeder, Landon Myers, Kari Fleisher, Renae Scalabrin, and Mike Wantland.  Each dedicated member of the NKN Board of Directors takes the necessary time out of their busy lives to share their vision of what is best for NKN students.

The purpose of School Board Recognition Month is to highlight the many accomplishments of the Board of Directors.  It is also an opportunity to enhance the relationship between the board and community.  Please reach out to our distinguished board and thank them for their service.

The Neah-Kah-Nie School Community is grateful for the Board’s leadership and service to enrich the lives of our children.

Sincerely,

Paul Erlebach, Superintendent

Neah-Kah-Nie School District
